For most (H)EV applications, AC drive motors offer the best reliability - performance - efficiency combination. Standard AC motors for stationary industrial applications are available in numerous versions at relatively low price. However, for (H)EV applications these standard AC motors are not suitable.

We can offer AC motors specifically designed for (H)EVs by the well known company Siemens. These AC motors do have the following properties:

-    the lamination is optimised for higher frequency (up to 400 Hz) operation
