The history of Evisol starts with the founding of HEC Engineering, a personal company of Ir. Eddy Hustinx, in 1998. 

After gaining a lot of practical experience from the development of a Golf 2 based electrical vehicle (1991) and from driving a City Stromer (a VW designed EV based on the Golf 3) and achieving the required theoretical background through his study Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Delft, Eddy decided to establish his own company, HEC Engineering (HEC hereafter). HEC has sold many components as well as turn-key drive systems for electric and hybrid vehicles ever since. Special credits should be given to Victor Tikhonov from Metric Mind Engineering in the US (www.metricmind.com ). As a respected business partner and friend, Victor plays an important roll in the history and present of Evisol.  

Mid-2005, Eddy decided to start the development of a high power traction inverter. To be able to expand the company and simultaneously fully concentrate on the necessary technical developments, Eddy decided, in 2006, to start looking for a business partner with experience in the field of international business. He found this person at the end of 2006, in the person of Ing. Godfried Puts. Together they have founded a new company: Evisol B.V., as equal business partners.
