Evisol believes that the market for electric vehicles (EV's) can effectively be developed using a top-down approach. Luxury cars like sportscars, limousines and big SUV's can be converted to full electric cars without increasing the price too much. This because the taxes (car tax, road tax, VAT) on these cars are high in their original configuration with internal combustion engine (ICE). In full electric configuration almost all taxes are reduced to zero (in certain countries) and the expensive ICE is not needed. This leaves a rather large budget for the conversion to an EV. At the same time customers in this luxury market can afford a mild increase in the price of a vehicle if it is environmental friendly, silent but powerful and at the same time a unique novelty (look what I bought).

Up to 200kW, 450Nm for each inverter/motor. Larger SUV's can embody two inverters/motors!   

The top-down approach makes it possible to increase the production numbers for electric drive systems, starting at the more wealthy part of the market. When production volumes increase, prices will come down. Eventually electric drive systems can be used in smaller and cheaper cars.
